I used to do a comic-a-day challenge on an old Website – Worth1000. One year I decided to use the forum to post one of my stories, instead of the little cartoons about my life in Asia. I challenged myself to 6 panels a day. They start off pretty crap, but radically improve when they get to the second part. And, yeah, I had no idea how to pull off Dana’s room so quick, so had to settle for something over-simple. I also had to stay the hell away from trying to show Rowan’s wall. It is WAY too detailed. While I’m really really fond of how the Dinner Date worked out, I have to admit, the written versions are better. It’s bloody difficult to get the emotions and details right whipping up 6 panels on an a4 sheet of paper, in, at best, 2-3 hours.
Sorry, one bit got messed up. The original is somewhere in the loft but I haven’t looked for it.
